Similar to Pfaffia paniculata, Marapuama is traditionally used as an adaptogen. It has strong antioxidant properties due to its free radical scavenging abilities. The extract contains Muirapuamine and phytosterols such as β-sitosterol, Kampesterol and Kumarine. The extract helps aged skin to adapt better for decreased oestrogen levels.
Used in combination with Pfaffia paniculata and Lilium candidum, it produces a wrinkle-reducing active with skin lightening and brightening effects, especially improving dark pigmentation under the eyes and reducing age spots.
